No. If you see an ad that has this wording, it is simply clickbait. The truth is that there is a federal tax credit of 30%, but not everyone is qualified to get it.

What if my roof is old?

It may not be approved for installation. However, we are partnered with approved roofing companies so we’ll be able to help you with that by including the roof in the proposal so that you can take advantage of the tax credit for the roof as well. Bonus!

Is it better to Lease or Own?

That depends on your individual situation. If you are older or can’t take advantage of the tax credit then a lease may be your best option. We can help you determine that.

I heard you may need extra insurance. Is that true?

In Florida, if your system is larger than 11.76 kW then you will need Tier II coverage. We will cover that for the first year:)

I have trees shading a lot of my roof, can I still get solar?

It may not be advisable to put solar on a roof that is heavily shaded. That’s why we are also partnered with tree removal companies and can assist in handling trees that would hinder solar performance.

What size system does my home need?

This depends on various factors including size of the home, usage and insulation, etc. We will help you reduce the usage so that the system we design fits what your home actually needs. Most companies just sell you the most they can. Our goal is to earn referrals so we do our best to only provide you with what your home needs.
